Make a Difference

Serving Those Serving 501c3 has helped nearly two-thousand service industry families throughout the Twin Cities gain access to critical mental & workplace wellness resources. Since 2017, restaurant owners and leaders throughout Minnesota have seen the need to overcome mental health challenges inherent to the service industry. Serving Those Serving has been able to successfully provide an effective solution in addressing these challenges through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

In late 2019, we began constructing the “In the Weeds” Foundation (ITWF) to allow the same quality access to our EAP to INDIVIDUALS experiencing personal crises -- whether it’s a need for family counseling, alcohol or substance abuse support, financial guidance, childcare and housing resources, immigration or legal assistance… or simply help with an existential funk when nobody else is there. 

The service industry was one of the hardest hit in 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic. As our industry begins to stand back up and dust itself off, we need financial support from our communities and support all restaurant workers, not just those lucky enough to still have a restaurant to call home.
