To save more lives from drug overdose, the CDC’s Division of Overdose Prevention developed the Stop Overdose and Rx Awareness campaigns. The campaigns are intended to reach young adults who use drugs, and adults who have taken opioids for medical use or who have misused opioids at least once.

The Stop Overdose and Rx Awareness campaigns aim to increase awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, the risks of mixing drugs, the life-saving power of naloxone, the importance of reducing stigma to support treatment and recovery, and the dangers of prescription opioids.
