what services does serving those serving offer?

Serving Those Serving is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to the social, mental, and physical well-being of our serving industry community. Since being founded in 2017, STS has expanded access to mental health, financial, and addiction services to over 2000 employees of the service industry – and continues to see an increasing need for our beloved people.

Expanding access to these services has occurred in a multi-faceted way. STS developed and continues to operate an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in conjunction with Sand Creek Group, a national mental health service provider. We are able to offer these EAP services to business owners for less than $5 per month, per employee. STS has an In the Weeds Foundation (ITWF) in which individual members of the service industry can access our services, regardless of employment or employer. STS has an Adopt-a-Restaurant initiative in which people who give a damn can donate a year’s worth of services to a restaurant of their choosing. Periodically, we are able to offer Financial Literacy, De-Escalation, and Self-Defense courses. Through partnerships, STS is also proud to offer and distribute Narcan kits, in an effort to reduce the catastrophic effects of the opioid crisis.

In short, Serving Those Serving gives a damn about our community. Our workforce deserves better, and we are here to ignite that change.
